With deep sadness, the family of William “Will” "RJ" Schell announce his passing on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the age of 32.

William will be lovingly remembered by his life partner, Laurissa; his children, Kassandra “Kassie” and Michael “Mikey”; his parents, Debbie and Rex; his brother Nick, and his grandmother Ila. Will will also be missed by his father-in-law, Charlie; mother-in-law Carrie; and brothers-in-law, Josh and Chris. William was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Vera (May 11, 2020), and maternal grandfather Bernard (Nov 26, 2020). He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

William was a devoted partner, loving father, cherished son, grandson, brother, and friend. Family was always his number one priority, and nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with those he loved most, especially his children, Kassie and Mikey. He was a proud and dedicated father whose love and support were constant in their lives. William shared a special bond with his life partner, Laurissa. Since meeting in 2016, they built a life together grounded in love, laughter, and unwavering support. Will had a kind heart and dependable nature. He would drop anything to help a friend in need. He was someone others could count on without hesitation, and his generosity and loyalty left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

William had a passion for working on vehicles and cars and was happiest with his hands busy under the hood. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time camping and taking in nature. The only time he would take off work was for his annual camping trip with Laurissa. An avid sportsman, you could ask Will anything about any sport, and he could often be found enjoying sports video games in his downtime.

William’s love for his family, his willingness to help others, and the many memories he created with those closest to him will be treasured always and held close in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Celebration of Life

A Celebration of Will’s life will be held on Sunday, June 7th, 2026, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION BRANCH - 519, 2916 County Rd 48, Coboconk, ON K0M 2B0. As an expression of sympathy, a GoFundMe campaign has been opened to help support the family during this time. Donations can be made HERE.
