It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of William "Bill" Liscombe on September 17, 2025. Born on January 16, 1951, Bill was a cherished husband, devoted father, and loving grandfather. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Wanda ( nee Rumney).
Bill was the proud and loving father of his daughters, Colleen Mistovich (Jim) and Carrie Ruddy (Brian), and he was adored by his grandsons, Kelly and Jack, who were the light of his life. His brother, Earl (Brenda), along with nephews Greg and Brady, mourn his loss deeply. Bill is also fondly remembered by his half-brother, Patty (Judy), and half-sisters Pam (Gord), Ann, and Catherine, predeceased by Mike. As well as many other extended family members who will miss him dearly.
For 35 dedicated years, Bill was a committed employee of Robert B. Somerville, where he supervised the construction of natural gas pipelines throughout the vast landscapes of Ontario and Cape Breton Island. Highly regarded by his colleagues, Bill took immense pride in his work and was admired for his leadership and hard-working nature.
An avid outdoorsman, Bill found solace and joy in nature and animals. The hunting camp was his sanctuary, a place he visited daily and where he formed lasting friendships. He will be forever remembered by the Hillside Inn Hunt’n Camp.
“Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed, and very dear.” Bill's spirit will continue to walk alongside those who loved him, forever cherished in their hearts.
