With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Stan announces his peaceful passing into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, Dec 27, 2025, at the age of 87, surrounded by loved ones. Beloved Husband of Phyllis Watt (nee Bowron).
Born on March 9, 1938, in the County of Haliburton, Stan was the eldest son of 5 children of Phurness Watt and Marjorie Parish Watt. He began his early years in Victoria Street School in Haliburton. After this, he worked in the family grocery store, then at the lumber mill in Wilberforce before becoming an employee of the GM Boys Club at 18yrs old. There, his faith and values were shaped and deepened after his commitment to Jesus at the Salvation Army. As a devoted follower of Christ, Stan lived out his faith daily through his kindness, generosity, and prayerful spirit.
He served others with humility and grace, reflecting God’s love in conversation and in powerful ways. Stan found joy in teasing the neighborhood children while fixing bikes, volunteering and helping others, time with family, enjoying the outdoors, and cherished the blessings of faith, family, and community.
He is lovingly remembered by his children: Rob (Catherine), Chris (Peggy), Teresa (Karl), grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. His legacy of faith, love, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
