Skip Ray

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, adoring mema, sister, and friend at Haliburton Hospital on Monday morning, June 8, 2026 in her 70th year. 

She was known and loved throughout her community and by all whose paths she crossed. With her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and larger-than-life personality, she had a remarkable ability to light up any room. She was often the life of the party, bringing joy, humour, and connection wherever she went.

Throughout her life, she embodied strength in every sense of the word. She stood firmly in her beliefs, faced challenges with unwavering determination, and never hesitated to fight for what she felt was right. She was a loyal friend, a fierce advocate for those she loved, and someone who could always be counted on when others were in need.

Her positive energy, gratitude, and generous spirit made the world a brighter place. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, valued, and cared for. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her kindness, courage, laughter, and love.

She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her daughters, Debbie Val (Carlin Val) and Shawna Ray; her treasured grandchildren, Willow, River, and Summer Val; her brother, Doug Macnab (Cathy Rooney); her sister, Liz Larter; and her many dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

We are grateful for the memories, lessons, laughter, and love she leaves behind. Her spirit will continue to shine through all those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She will be greatly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.

Private Funeral Arrangements
