Peacefully in her sleep at her residence on Wednesday evening, November 19, 2025 in her 82nd year. Beloved wife and best friend of Leslie Spanger. Loving mother of Shannon, Brandon and Micheal (predeceased). Adoring grandmother to Megan, Trislyn. Cole, Jena and Evan. Remembered by her great grandchildren Ivan & Henry. Dear sister of Dawson (Margaret - predeceased). Predeceased by her sister Mary, her brothers Ross, Glen and Blakey. Also remembered by her her nieces and nephews. Shirley will be missed by her large extended family and many friends. Shirley worked at the Chrysler Trim Plant in Ajax for over 35 years. She loved creating ceramic dolls and their clothes and later worked with silicone dolls. She had an interest in Egyptian embroidery and crocheting. She is greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
Celebration of Life
Family and Friends are invited to attend the ROBERT McCAUSLAND MEMORIAL COMMUNITY CENTRE 1043 Community Center Rd, Gooderham, ON K0M 1R0, for a Celebration of Shirley's Life on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 1-4 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
