With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Shirley Jean Murchison announces her peaceful passing into the presence of the Lord on July 19, 2026, at the age of 66, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on July 29th, 1959, in Toronto to her parents, Robert and Shirley Waterson. A devoted follower of Christ, Shirley lived out her faith daily through her dedicated involvement in various activities at the Pioneer Baptist Church. Shirley and John were also founding members of the Kawartha Lakes 4 Wheeler Club, where Shirley served as treasurer for many years. Shirley found joy in baking, quilting, spending time with her family, and cherished the blessings of faith, family, and community. She served others with humility and grace, reflecting God’s love in quiet but powerful ways.
Shirley is survived by her beloved spouse, John. She is also lovingly remembered by her children Karly, Chris, and Colton, and her grandson, Miles. She is predeceased by her daughter, Michaela. Shirley's legacy of faith, love, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Visitation & Funeral Service
Friends and Family are invited to call on Friday, July 24th, 2026, at the PIONEER BAPTIST CHURCH, 7553 Hwy 35, Norland, ON K0M 2L0 for a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Visitation 1 hour prior. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Shirley's memory to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. An Interment will follow at St. Thomas Balsam Lake Cemetery - Kirkfield. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the COBOCONK COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME, 6644 Hwy. #35 Coboconk, Ontario K0M 1K0 (705) 454-3913.
