Shirley Moore (nee Henderson)

It is with great sadness and grief that the Moore-Henderson family announces the passing of our beloved Shirley Caroline Henderson Moore. A force to be reckoned with, Shirley was much loved by all who knew her. A people person at heart, Shirl was a mother, daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, friend, confidant, and more. To those who knew her, she made a lasting impact with her warm smile, curious nature, kindness, and compassion. She was always advocating and standing up for unrecognized and marginalized communities – as well as the larger natural world.

The family would like to express their deepest thanks to everyone for the outpouring of love, remembrance, and support. Know that these efforts are much appreciated during this incredibly tough
time.

Celebration of Life

To honour Shirley's memory, friends and family are invited to gather for a Celebration of Shirley's life at the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy #118 Haliburton, Ontario K0M 1S0 (705) 457-9209 on Sunday, April 6th, beginning at 1:00 with a reception to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Shirley's memory can be made to the Haliburton Highlands Green Burial Society or the ALS Society of Canada.
