December 20, 2020 5:57 PMA summer or two after purchasing our cottage in 1996 on Devil’s Lake, I was accompanied by my two children in our tin boat heading out on the water towards our cottage. Our motor gave me trouble (or the reverse) and we sallied forth using oars. Along came Shelley, accompanied by her children, in their tin boat, offering a tow. And that is how we met! We were kindly and properly introduced to each other and to the lake. What a fine example she set to us all. Thank you Shelley.
