Peacefully at home with his loved ones on October 9, 2024. Beloved husband of Carole Bowering and loving father of Brian (Michelle) and Tammy. Brother of Bonnie, Joe is greeted in Heaven by his brothers Art and Ken, and his parents Roy and Marjorie. Joe will be missed by his grandchildren, Miley, Madison, Noah, Aaron, Daniel, and, Sarah. He is remembered for his humor and spirit by all who knew him.
Known to all as Joe, many people don't even know who Roy Bowering is. His father, Roy, hated the name Roy, but Joe's parents were forced to name him after his father by Joe’s grandmother. From day one Joe’s father told everyone he always hated his name and would NEVER call him Roy, so he renamed him the day home from the hospital, Joe. Even his children never knew him as Roy, when people would call the house and ask for Roy, Brian would often say "wrong number" and hang up!
Joe's first passion was always his motorcycle. Whether he was riding with a group, with Brian, or just by himself. Anytime he had the chance to get out on his bike he was gone. Always looking for another source of adrenaline, if he wasn't on his bike he also enjoyed waterskiing. He was a family man and loved the chances he got to spend time with his family at the farm, telling them all his stories of growing up. The good and the bad, no matter what he always managed to make it into a funny story. When he wasn't on his bike, on the water, or out at the farm you could find him cooking up new recipes for everyone to enjoy.
