Robert "Bob" McCrea Jackson

Peacefully at Haliburton Hospital on Sunday, June 9th, 2024, at the age of 80. Loving husband to Jane Anderson and the late Elaine Jackson (2009). Proud father to Laura, Brett (Courtney), and Blake (Caroline). Cherished Grampa to Ella, Edie, Theo, Alice, and Desmond. Robert was recently predeceased by his older brother Mel. He will be missed by his sister Judy, brother Ron, and the extended family whom he loved and was extremely proud of. 

One of Robert’s favourite places to spend his time was Texas, where he played dobro guitar, cribbage, and enjoyed many years of square dancing with both his wives. He also spent countless hours at the farm in Tory Hill, where he loved hunting, fishing, and visiting with his closest family and friends.

Celebration Of Life

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A private family interment will be held at the South Wilberforce Cemetery.  Details of a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
