Robert "Bob" Long

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Long, who left us peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in his 83rd year. Bob was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  Whose kindness and music has left a mark on all who knew him.  Bob was survived by his sister Jeannie Thomas (Dave) and his children: Lisa Thibeault (Claude), Susanne Long (Steve), and Steve Long (Kim). He was adored by his Grandchildren, Tom, Loretta, Dale, Danielle, Nicole, Caden, Rylan, and Tayler, and great-grandchildren Madison, Karley, Hailey, Kale, and Cole. Bob's passions were as vast as his generous spirit, and he loved music, fishing, traveling east, and forever joking with his family and friends.  He was adored by everyone who knew him and will be missed by many. 

Celebration of Life

Please join us in a Celebration of Life in Bob’s honor at the HALIBURTON LEGION, 719 Mountain St., Haliburton, ON K0M 1S0 on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 11 - 3 pm.  Bring your appetite, fond memories, and instruments, and be ready to sing or play a song in his memory.
