With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Robert “Bob” Bird announces his peaceful passing on March 16, 2026, at the age of 80, surrounded by loved ones.
Predeceased by his loving wife Dianne Bird (nee Harrison). Bob was a proud and devoted father to their two children, Kellie (Steve) and Scott (Teressa). His legacy continues through his five beloved grandchildren, Logan (Danielle), Rachel (Tanner), Haiden, Erik, and Jayla.
Dear brother of Erma, Linda, Sherry, and Judy (Mark). Predeceased by his brothers Jack (Mary), Glen (Marie), Beau (Verna), and Earl. Predeceased by treasured brothers and sisters-in-law Ron, Lloyd, Dwight, Marylou, and Muriel. Cherished uncle of his many nieces and nephews.
Son of Arvine and Ruby Bird, Bob was born in Haliburton and dedicated his working years to County Auto & Rad six days a week. You could always expect honest service with a smile and a good chit-chat.
A true man of the woods and waters, Bob was never happier than when he was outdoors- whether he was hunting, casting a line, or sitting by a campfire. Above all, he was the steady anchor of his family. His greatest joy was found in the laughter of his children and grandchildren, the company of his friends, and the simple beauty of a day spent together.
He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, many great memories, and a family who will miss him every single day.
