Robert Kirkham

Peacefully at Haliburton Hospital on Thursday morning, December 7, 2023 in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Anne Kirkham (nee Stey). Loving father of Donna Tousaw (Kevin) and, Jerry Vanderklaauw (Gail). Dear grandfather of Morgan Tousaw, Bradley, and Rachael Vanderklaauw. Robert will be greatly missed by sister Sharon. Predeceased by his brother Don and fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Lynn Kirkham and nieces Michelle and Barbara. Robert was from Toronto, Ontario. Though spent many childhood years in Haliburton. He worked in the aerospace industry as a quality assurance technician with a bright future ahead. Robert then decided to follow his heart and came to Haliburton with his family for a better way of life.  He so loved Haliburton and his community. He was an avid Ham Radio Operator. Spending many hours communicating with others all over the world.  He loved local photography for personal pleasure and would bring some to life with his oil and watercolor paintings.  Above all, he would always find the humor in this world, and definitely had his own style of it. And in line with the words of his favourite Artist.Until we dance again, we will look for you under the “harvest moon”. 

Private Funeral Arrangements

Funeral arrangements are private. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209.
