"It's a beautiful day"
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on October 1, 2024, surrounded by his family. Beloved husband and friend of Jean McBain for the past 70 years. Loving father of Perry (Wendy) and Lynda (Dan). He will also be remembered as a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather to Ryan (Una), Rachel (Faisal), Megan, and Laila. Percy was a loving and generous husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Percy was a golfer, and when he wasn't getting his steps in on the green, you could find him out on his daily walks. He loved to travel, while also being active in his community. He was previously a member of the Haliburton Curling Club. Before retiring for a relaxing life of golfing, curling, and traveling; he worked Security at GM Oshawa for 39 years. Percy will be remembered not only for his dedication to his friends and family but also for his fun-loving spirit. His grateful nature and kind approach to all made him loved by many.
In the spirit of Percy's grateful nature, the family would like to express many thanks to all the staff at Bloom Retirement Residence in Oshawa, which Percy and his wife called home in recent months. Thanks also go out to the ER and ICU staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa.
