Neil Harrison

Peacefully at his home on Thursday afternoon, November 26, 2020 in his 87th year. Beloved husband  and best friend of Margaret Harrison (nee Friston). Loving father of Wayne (Laurie), Lorraine (Steve), Linda (Jeff), Dawne (Iain) and Jenny (John). Fondly remembered by his eleven grandchildren. Neil was born in Hull, England and immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1955. He raised five children with Margaret at their home in Mississauga. Neil worked for Carolina Tire for many years and in his final working years he founded Harrison’s Decorators. He loved cottaging and retired to the family cottage in Haliburton. He enjoyed fixing, painting and repairing things. He loved relaxing on the dock with friends and family. Neil loved the various family dogs over the years and thought of them often. He enjoyed the company of many friends and neighbours who were like family to him. He was a proud father, grandfather and loving husband to his wife Margaret, with whom he just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. He had a real zest for life and always had a riddle or joke to share. Most of all, he loved and enjoyed his large family. He will be sorely missed by many.
