Marlow Allen Haywood

Peacefully at his residence on Wednesday morning, January 29, 2025, in his 85th year.

Marlow was a cherished father to Alicia and Crystal, and a beloved grandfather to Malik, Angel, and Ariella. A dear brother to Norma and Vera. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.   Marlow was predeceased by his parents Allen and Irma Haywood (nee Madill), his brothers Ivan, Ross, and his sisters Hazel, Beatrice and Dolly.

Marlow was a man of unwavering values who lived life with kindness and conviction. Always generous, he was the kind of person who would literally give you the shirt off his back. His family was the heart of his world, and he never lost sight of what truly mattered—his daughters and grandchildren.

Known for his sense of humor, Marlow had a contagious laugh and a mischievous streak, delighting in scaring loved ones with hidden fake spiders and bugs. He had a remarkable way of making people laugh and brightening even the darkest days.

A skilled tinkerer and passionate fisherman, Marlow enjoyed the simple joys of life. Though as stubborn as a mule at times, his love and devotion were unmatched.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Celebration of Life

 A Celebration of Marlow's life will take place at a later date by his daughters. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services would be appreciated by the family.
