With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, the family of Marion Packard announces her peaceful passing into the presence of the Lord on March 18, 2026, at the age of 94.
Born on February 12, 1932 in Hastings Ontario, Marion was the middle child of the 5 children of Ernest and Isobell Scriver. She began her early years in Hastings Public School and later studied in Port Perry Public School, where her faith and values were shaped and deepened. A devoted follower of Christ, Marion lived out her faith daily through her kind and prayerful spirit. She served others with humility and grace, reflecting God’s love in quiet but powerful ways. Marion found joy in oil and watercolour painting, sewing, and many other hobbies and cherished the blessings of faith, family, and community.
Predeceased by her spouse, Vernus Packard, and children Sheldon (Roseleen), Shermond (Sally), and Sheridonann, Dwaine Packard (Doreen), Gerald Packard (Helen). She is lovingly remembered by her son, Schennelly Stoughton (Sandra), daughter-in-law, Sally Stoughton, stepchildren, Sylvia Trumbull, Stanley Packard, James Packard and grandchildren, Amie Stoughton, Schennelly Stoughton Jr., Joshua Stoughton (Stephanie), Eddie Packard (Brenna), Lisa Root (Ashton), Amanda Stoughton, Kyle Stoughton (Laurel Greenwood) and many great-grandchildren. Her legacy of faith, love, and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Friends and family are invited to call on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 11:30 am at the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME, 13523 Hwy. #118 Haliburton, ON K0M 1S0 (705) 457-9209 for a Service in Marion’s honour. Visitation one hour prior. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
