Lois Marilyn June Emmerson

It is with deep love and fond remembrance that the family of Lois Marilyn June Emmerson announce her peaceful passing, surrounded by family, on May 22, 2025, at the age of 90. 

Born on October 5, 1934, in Weston, Ontario, Lois was the youngest of five children born to Elsie and William Orrin Bailey. She began her schooling in the close-knit community of Eagle Lake and later attended high school in Haliburton, a place that remained dear to her heart. 

Beyond her many professional accomplishments, she lived a life deeply rooted in her Christian faith. Her beliefs were not just spoken but lived out daily through her generosity, integrity, and the quiet way she lifted others. 

Lois loved spending time with friends and family. Whether gathered around a bridge table or sharing heartfelt conversations, she found joy in connection and community. 

Lois was predeceased by her husband, William (Bill) Emmerson. She leaves behind her children Cheryl (Pat), Kim (Linda), Laureen (Jim), and Janice (Kevin). Also, her beloved grandchildren Erin (Dawson), Meghan (Adam), Ryan (Jenn), Haley (Matt), Adam, Amy, Alycia (Matt), Krystal, and Andrew. And finally her cherished great-grandchildren Hadlyn, Hudson, Harlowe, Sullivan, Olivia, Ashton, Brooks, Bennett,  and Charlie.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Friends are invited to call at the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118 Haliburton, Ontario K0M 1S0 (705) 457-9209 Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at 12:00 (noon) for a service in Lois’ memory (Visitation 2 hours prior.) As an expression of sympathy, donations in Lois' memory can be made to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation.
