Joyce Bartley (nee Stewart)

Joyce Elaine Bartley (née Stewart) was called home by the Lord in her 86th year on January 20th, 2025. Joyce was the devoted wife of Gerald Bartley, the cherished daughter of Stan and Jean (née Gostlin) Stewart, proud older sister of John (all predeceased), and is survived by her much-loved sister-in-law Mary Ann.  

Joyce’s children—Brian (Miriam), Lorie (Robert), Linda (Al), and Brenda (Garry)—will forever miss her profoundly beautiful personality and heart. She was also a proud and devoted grandmother to Nichole (Timur), Devin (Ange), Jay (Meghan), Alysia (Marc), Carolyn (Michael), Johanna (Conrad), Benjamin (Brooke), Erin (Joshua), Elizabeth (Howard), Jacob, Katrina, Rachel (David), Chelsey (Andrew), and Ashley. Joyce was blessed with 29 great-grandchildren. Joyce’s nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends held a very special place in her heart. 

Joyce's life was centered around her family, friends, church, community, and her deep faith in God. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her boundless love, kindness, joy, and hospitality. May she rest in eternal peace with the Lord.

Visitation & Funeral Service

Friends and family are invited to call Friday evening January 24th, 2025 at the COBOCONK COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 6644 Hwy#35 Coboconk, Ontario K0M 1K0 for a Visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A service will follow the next day at HOPE UNITED CHURCH 7521 Hwy#35 Norland, Ontario K0M 2L0 Saturday afternoon January 25th, 2025 at 2:00 (Visitation one hour prior.) As an expression of sympathy, donations in Joyce's honour can be made to the Hope United Church as it was near and dear to her heart.
