Peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Friday morning, May 31, 2024 at the age of 96. Devoted husband of Jean Batty (nee McKee). Married September 12, 1951, a couple since June 5, 1948; when Jean invited Jack to come along with his parents who were coming to visit her parents. Proud Father of Chris (Joan), Lois, Suzanne (Dan VanExan), Frank, Kathryn, Norman (Sheryl), Jennifer (Johnny Hickson) and Robert (Andrea). Honoured Grandpa of Janice (Jason), John (Angela), Andrew (Shannon), Matthew (predeceased), Anthony (Celine), Jeffrey (Catherine), Cassandra (Charlie), Nicholas, Jaclyn (Corey), Elizabeth (Kevin), Allan (Claire), William (Holly), Liam (Alexa), Avery, Olivia, April-Jean, Sadie-Jane (Gavin), Maggie-Jo (Jon), Jack, Graham, Vivian (Lucas) and Lloyd. Amused Great-Grandfather of 13. Predeceased by his sisters Eleanor Batty, Marion King, Laura Mepham and Hilda Janzen.
Visitation & Private Graveside Service
Friends and family are invited to call at the COBOCONK COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 6644 Hwy. #35, Coboconk, Ontario (705) 454-3913 on Tuesday afternoon, June 4, 2024 from 3 - 5 p.m. A Private Graveside Service will be held at Bexley Cemetery. Friends, neighbours and relatives are invited to join the family at the ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION BRANCH #519 Coboconk on Wednesday afternoon, June 5, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Sick Kids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
