John Goff

March 29, 2020

The legacy of John Goff also known as Johnny, Uncle John, Great uncle John and Johnny Jumpstart.  From his big blue eyes enormous smile and deep belly laugh that could make the worst day turn into your best.  John was an amazing human being who asked for very few things but gave us all more than we could have ever hoped.  John was the kind of person who made you feel like you were the only person in the world that mattered to him, he hugged unconditionally every time he saw you with his famous line “ awe…I like you”.  He was the kindest, gentlest most unselfish person and the world was definitely a better place with him in it.  John was a beautiful sole and we are grateful and so fortunate to have been chosen to be part of his family.  Our hearts are broken. He is free from his long battle with cancer. John is affectionately remembered by his loving sister Barbara (Frank), niece Elizabeth (David), nephew David (Jennifer), and great nieces and nephews Tavia, Callum, Lauren, Michael, and Ryan. He was predeceased by his dear brother Alan.

Thank you to Dr Stephenson for her endless support and compassion, thank you to all the Staff at Highland Wood for all your care, thank you to all the staff at Community living for all the years you spent making sure John got what he needed.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209.
