Janeen Elizabeth Auld died at age 46 on August 29, 2025. She is much loved by her parents, Dave and Mary, and cherished by her brother, Andrew, and his wife, Sara. The beloved partner of George Bozanich. Janeen will be fondly remembered by family, friends, and colleagues.
Janeen was born in Lindsay, Ontario, and graduated from the universities of Ottawa and York, with a Ph.D. in atmospheric chemistry. She went on to work at the Max Planck Institute in Mainz, Germany, and the University of Windsor.
In recent years, Janeen worked amongst those experiencing homelessness and was a long-time, much beloved volunteer at the Windsor Youth Centre. She is remembered for her dedicated effort to reduce her impact on the environment.
Funeral Arrangements
Following Janeen's wishes, there was no memorial service. Janeen was buried in a dedicated naturalized area at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Algonquin Highlands, which will be positive for the environment forever. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Janeen's honour can be made to the Windsor Youth Centre.
