Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Haliburton on July 1, 2025, at the age of 83.
Beloved sister of the late Martin Priede (Dace), Maija Aditajs (John, deceased), and Peter Priede (Belinda). Ieva will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews—especially Laila and Silvia, whose extra love and care brought her great comfort in her later years.
Affectionately known for her vibrant spirit, Ieva was truly the dancing queen to the very end. She had a deep love for chocolates, cosmos, and calamari, and a zest for the nightlife. Poker, bridge, crosswords, and reading were some of her favourite pastimes.
Ieva embraced life with joy and elegance—never without her signature lipstick. She delighted in travel, particularly to Antigua, and cherished fondue nights with family.
Her infectious laugh and unforgettable sense of fun will be deeply missed. We take comfort in imagining her reunited with those she loved who went before her—no doubt dancing, laughing, and sharing stories once again.
