Herbert "Bert" Groom

Peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday morning, March 20, 2023 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Connie Groom (nee Camilleri) for over 68 years. Loving father of John (Ann), Catherine (Philip) and Carolyn (Bob). Fondly remembered by his eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Dear brother of William (Cathy). Also lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  Bert worked for Ford Electronics for many years. He was a former Vice Executive Officer of the Canadian Power Squadron, a former President of the Etobicoke Underwater Club, and a former Commodore of the Alexandra Yacht Club.

Celebration of Life & Reception

A Celebration of Bert's life will take place at ST. JOHN THE EVANGLIST Church 1050 Portage Road, Kirkfield, Ontario on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 11 o'clock. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Summit Wellness Centre, Coboconk would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the COBOCONK COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 6644 Hwy. #35, Coboconk, Ontario (705) 454-3913.
