Helen Emma Gardner
April 16, 1928 - July 9, 2026
It is with deep love and fond remembrance that the family of Helen Gardner announce her peaceful passing, surrounded by family, at Highland Wood on Thursday, July 9th, in her 99th year.
Helen was born and grew up in Toronto in a family with Scottish roots. She married her beloved Lloyd Gardner (predeceased) in 1949, raising their family in Oshawa. Helen moved to Haliburton in 2000. She leaves behind her children, Nancy (Al), David (Sylvie), grandchildren Jamie (predeceased), Jana (Joe), Kelsey, Daniel, Carolyne (Narsing), Julie (Dominik) and great grandsons William and Kian.
Helen lived a life deeply rooted in her faith. She was a proud and active member of the Baha'i community. Her beliefs were not just spoken but lived out daily through her generosity, integrity, kindness, and the quiet way she lifted others. Helen enjoyed spending time with her family and was actively involved in her community, including volunteering for many years at Haliburton Lily Ann Thrift Store.
Helen’s warmth, love for life, and ability to bring joy to those around her will never be forgotten. She will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
