Peacefully surrounded by his family at Haliburton Hospital on Thursday afternoon, June 5, 2025, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Verna Hutchings-Bird (nee Smith). Predeceased by his first wife, Marylou. Loving father of Penny (Alan), Jim (Heather), Randy (Angela), Steve (Lisa), Brenda (John), and Harry (Bea). Fondly remembered by his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Bob, Erma, Linda, Sherry, and Judy (Mark). Also lovingly remembered by son-in-law Steve and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Barb (2025), his brother Jack, Glen, and Earl. Beau enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, his tractor, and most of all his family.
Visitation & Memorial Service
Friends and family are invited to call at the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME, 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209 on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 6 - 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at 12 (Noon) on Thursday afternoon, June 12, 2025. Interment later Evergreen Cemetery, Haliburton. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services would be appreciated by the family.
