At his residence on Thursday, October 10, 2024 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of June (nee Dovell). Loving father of Cory (Jenna) and Papa of Alex. Also lovingly remembered by brother Edward (Karen), nephews Christopher (Corinne), Jonathan (Allison), great nephews Oliver, Elliot and great niece Kaitlyn. Educated in the United States, Grant spent close to 50 years in the Canadian lumber industry. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and watching his grandson play baseball. His easygoing, steady nature made him a particular favourite among friends old and new. Always quick with a smile and a laugh, he spent the last years of his life enjoying the great outdoors and spending time with family.
Private Funeral Arrangements
As per Grant’s wishes, the family will honour his life in a private celebration. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Hudson Regional Cancer Program (Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie) would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209.
