Gordon Cochrane, 79, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at his beloved lake house in Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.
Gordon was a retired attorney, having spent 40 years practicing law in Olympia Fields, Illinois. He was active in civic affairs and loved the game of basketball. He often wore a tee shirt that said: "Life is Basketball".
He is survived by two daughters, Erin Cochrane Sutcliffe (Peter) and Courtney Lane Vishawadia (Shailesh), and their mother, Christine Cochrane. Grandchildren include Kira and Jonah Sutcliffe, and Jaimin and Triya Vishawadia.
Cremation has occurred. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, https://www.cff.org and would be appreciated by the family.
