Gary Joseph Warburton

Peacefully surrounded by his family at Hyland Crest in Minden on Wednesday morning, December 14, 2022 in his 81st year. Beloved husband  and best friend of Lois Warburton (nee Teasdale). Loving father of Karen (Ron), Kevin (Maria) and Jeff (Tanya). Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Ryan, Christopher, Kyle, Cole, Brayden.  Dear brother of Randy, Ross and Eileen. Predeceased by his brothers Glenn, Paul and by his sister Barbara. Also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Gary started with General Motors in Oshawa in the 1960s. In the 1970s, he was an independent trucker and worked with Blair Sand & Gravel. Gary loved hockey. He spent a great deal of his time coaching minor hockey in Minden and later in Haliburton with the Haliburton Huskies Junior team. He enjoyed driving fast, fishing with the grandkids and most of all, spending time with his family. Gary was a kind and generous soul and was always there to help a friend in need. He will be greatly missed. 

Graveside Service

A Graveside Service will be held at the Ingoldsby Pioneer Cemetery in the Spring. As an expression of sympathy, donations to  Diabetes Canada  would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209.
