Frederick "Fred" Tufts

With deep love and heavy hearts, the family of Frederick “Fred” Tufts announces his passing on the 8th of December 2025 in his 75th year.

Beloved son of Edward “Ted” and Jean Tufts (predeceased). Frederick is fondly remembered by his siblings, Brian “Ted” (Marilynne), David “Dave”, Ronald, Rose, and Dorothy (Rob). Predeceased by his brother Robert (Anne) and his sister, Barbara (James). Also lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Frederick owned his own concrete construction business for many years before finally retiring to become a farmer. It was on his farm that he tended to his cattle, while also occasionally working independently as a snowplow operator. Frederick also had an adventurous side, with his love of side-by-side vehicles (UTVs).

Visitation & Celebration of Life

Friends and family are invited to call for a visitation in Fred’s honour on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 1 – 3 o’clock at the COBOCONK COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME, 6644 Hwy #35, Coboconk, ON K0M 1K0 (705) 454-3913. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the Salvation Army Canada, Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
