Freda Vivian Davis (nee Dugan)

It is with deep love and fond remembrance that the family of Freda Vivian Davis (nee Dugan) announce her peaceful passing on October 22, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on November 20, 1946, in the Haliburton Hospital, Freda was one of four girls born to Carl and Helen Dugan. Freda married Bill Davis (predeceased), with whom she shared 57 years of a blissful marriage. Freda and Bill enjoyed traveling and dancing together, often to old country tunes, and were blessed to raise three children of their own.

Freda was a devoted mother, staying home to raise her children until they were all attending school. Freda loved spending time with her family, whether baking, crocheting, or just going out for walks. When she wasn't playing Euchre or Cribbage, you could find Freda watching game shows. She also found joy in social outings, listening to live music, having tea parties, or playing shuffleboard.

Freda is survived by her children, Ed (Linda), Sherry (Bill), Charlene, and her sisters, Gloria and Nancy. She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Heather (Cam), Craig (Cori), Edward (Jessica), Jonathan (Ashley), and Carly (Jamie). As well as her great-grandchildren, Hunter, Lily, and Gordy. Freda was predeceased by her sister Carolen Clark.

Visitation & Graveside Service

Friends and family are invited to call at the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME, 13523 Hwy. #118 Haliburton, ON K0M 1S0 (705) 457-9209 on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 11 - 12:30 p.m.  A Graveside Service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Haliburton.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Haliburton 4C's Foodbank or Autism Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
