Florence "Flo" Elliott (nee Liscombe)

Peacefully at Extendicare - Haliburton surrounded by her family at the age of 94 on Sunday, April 14, 2024. Florence was predeceased by her beloved husband William, and her sons Stephen and Morris. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Anne, granddaughters Lauren (Ned), and Alexandra (Nathan), grandson Cameron (Meriko), and great-grandchildren Nova, Ivy, and Felix. Flo was also predeceased by her brother Bill and sisters Dorothy, Bobby, Marion and Mavis. Also lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

Florence was born on March 24, 1930, in Larder Lake, Ontario. Florence was eternally optimistic and nurtured many passions throughout her life.  Ever involved in her Community, she was a member of the Wilberforce Loop Troop, was an avid clogger, was a columnist for the Haliburton Echo, and worked at the Wilberforce Library part-time after her retirement until she was in her late eighties. Flo also enjoyed quilting. 

Visitation & Funeral Mass

Friends and family are invited to call at ST. JOHN VIANNEY CATHOLIC CHURCH 5408 Loop Rd, Highland Grove, Ontario on Monday afternoon, April 22, 2024 for a Funeral Mass at 1 o'clock. (Visitation one hour prior). Interment South Wilberforce Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209.
