Eleanor "Elly" Carey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Nan, Eleanor Carey, born November 10, 1930 - April 1, 2025, at the age of 94.

Elly is predeceased by her husband (Cameron Carey), sister (Wendy Hunziker), grandson (Todd Ofield), and great-granddaughter (Maeve Woodward). She is survived by her children Kim (Ken) and Drew (Karen), her grandchildren Kelly (Luke), Annie (Tyler), Brett, Katie (Stefan), Tanis (Cory), Paige (Jesse) and great grandchildren Pearce, Miles, Charlie, Jake, Cole, Macie, Brooklyn, Everett, Hayes, Brey, Dax, Wells.

Elly would also like a special mention for her friends Verne (Marlin) Gartshore, John Ayres, and Elsie Moore, for whom she had a great deal of respect.

Known for her strong-willed personality and determination, Elly approached life with unwavering conviction and loyalty, her stubbornness was both a trademark and a source of admiration. She treated everyone like family, and she was a true master of laughter, bringing joy and lightheartedness to everyone she knew. Elly’s presence will be greatly missed, but her legacy and impact will live on for years to come.
