David James Dinwoodie passed peacefully from this life to his eternal home on Sunday morning, January 18, 2026 in his 80th year. David was born in Toronto on January 23, 1946 to Jane Violet Rogers and James Dinwoodie. He moved to the shores of Balsam Lake in 1974 with his wife Susan where they raised three sons in the beautiful countryside of Bexley Township.
Dave was a journeyman electrician for many years in Toronto and the City of Kawartha Lakes. He was known for a high quality of skill in his chosen trade and had a good work ethic that he passed on to his sons. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his sons Jason (Julie) of Erin, Christopher (Kristen) of Balsam Lake and Michael (Marie) of Rosswood B.C. and by his precious grandchildren Lily, Abigail and Griffin. Also remembered by his extended family and friends over the years.
David's family wish to thank the competent staff of Fenelon Court Long Term Care in Fenelon Falls, the nursing staff, personal support workers, kitchen and dining staff, the cleaning and administrative staff and volunteers over the past nine years for their excellent care, courtesy and kindness shown to him and our family as Dave resided there and was made to feel it was his home.
