David Mahlon Beach

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David, at home on June 3rd at the age of 77. He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Shelley. He leaves behind his adoring children, Graham (Meredith) and Lindsay (Brian), and his grandchildren, Jeremy and Atia. He will be greatly missed by his sister, Nancy, and his nieces and nephews. Dave had wonderful friends on Kennisis Lake who shared many of his favourite pastimes, snowmobiling, golf, pool, poker, and happy hours. 

Dave and Shelley moved full-time to their cottage on Kennisis Lake in 2008, having previously lived in Pickering, Barrie, Lindsay, Kitchener, Thunder Bay, and Midland, Ontario. He was the unofficial mayor of his road since retiring from being a sales manager at Kanaflex. During his sales career, he also worked for Honda, Bombardier, and Kawasaki. He travelled frequently during his working life, and the cottage was where Dave loved to be most in the world. He enjoyed puttering around the property and his garage. Dave was larger than life. He will be remembered for his sense of humour and big laugh to match. Dad, we hope you're enjoying some of your favourite things: a stiff rum and Diet Pepsi (with lots of ice), sausages cooked on the BBQ, and breakfast of bacon and eggs.

Memorial Service

Friends are invited to call at the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME, 13523 Hwy. #118 Haliburton, Ontario K0M 1S0 (705) 457-9209 for a service in David's memory on Saturday, June 14, 2025, beginning at 12:00 p.m. (Noon). As an expression of sympathy, donations in David's memory can be made to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation.
