Peacefully at Haliburton Hospital with his family by his side on Monday, September 30, 2024, in his 68th year. Beloved big brother to Doug (Sharon) of Minden, Dan (Debbie) of Minden, Darlene (David Gervais) of Woodville, and Dale (Eldon Bull) of Minden. Predeceased by his loving parents, Jim and Barb Allison, and his youngest brother Derek. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Dave's first love was music. In his earlier years (in the ‘70s and ‘80s) Dave was the original rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist in a Canadian Heavy Metal Rock Band called “Anvil” and spent a decade cutting 5 albums and touring around the world. Later he moved to Kushog Lake where he worked in the family construction business with his father and brothers before opening his own Arborist business “Timberline”. He will forever Rock On in our hearts. Dave’s family would like to thank Dr. Coles and the nursing team at the Haliburton Hospital for their exceptional care.
Private Funeral Arrangements
As per Dave's wishes, the family will honour his life in a private celebration. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Haliburton Highlands Health Services Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209.
