With great sadness, we say goodbye to Betty May Turpin who passed on October 3, 2024, at Highland Wood.
Betty was born on January 18, 1933. She was one of six children in her family. Her other siblings were Bud, Joan, Gerry, Jerry, and Jo who was a half-sibling. Betty was married to her husband John a World War II, and Korean war Veteran for fifty-three years. John and Betty were married in 1952 and lived in the Fort Irwin area. Together they had three children: Dave, Danny, and Carol. She was also the proud Grandmother of Mitch and Kailey and her six other Grandchildren. Great Grandmother to Jacob.
Betty loved animals and reading. While at Highland Wood she enjoyed attending tea parties, exercise classes, and Hymn Sing. Betty will be remembered by not only her family and friends but also by the staff and residents of Highland. Her memory will be cherished by all who were blessed to have known her.

Private Funeral Arrangements
As per the family's wishes, private funeral arrangements have taken place. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Sick Kids Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209.
