With deep Christlike love and gratitude for a life well lived, the West Guilford Baptist Church family of Barry Richard Wilson announces his peaceful passing into the waiting arms of Jesus our Lord and Saviour on Friday, October 31st, at the age of 83.
Barry was a conservationist. He spent countless hours studying, rescuing, and photographing wildlife. He was passionate about sharing his knowledge and gave many seminars and wrote many stories teaching others. He loved his Tim Horton large Triple Triples, blueberry pie, and a good game of crokinole, which he almost always won.
Barry will be fondly remembered by the many friends he made while being patiently and tenderly cared for by the staff and volunteers of Highland Wood during the past 2 years.
Barry will forever be remembered by all who knew him for his unique personality and passionate love of everything wildlife, especially his first love, the beaver.
Barry was more at home with animals than he was with people, and he struggled when he lost his independence and couldn't spend his time outside with his animal friends. But like his beaver friends who are known for their hard work and resilience, Barry has finished his race and has entered his eternal home that his Father God has prepared for him and is now free to spend his days enjoying God's perfect world prepared for those who have put their trust in Him.
