Audrey Downes (nee Powell)

Peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Sunday afternoon, August 1, 2021 in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late William "Wayne" Downes (2020). Loving mother of Kerri and Stephen. Proud grandmother of Brandon and Ashlee Robinson and fur babies Yoda and Gazu. Dear sister of Glen (Ruby), Jim (Jean), Murray (Donna) Bill (Elaine), Brenda (Earl), June (Gord) and Carol (Larry). Also fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and her Church Family. Predeceased by her parents George & Dorothy Powell and by her infant sisters Barbara & Dorothy. Also remembered by her sister-in-law Sandra (Gord). Audrey was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church all her life. She was a strong Godly woman and always had a hug for everyone and made people feel loved and welcome. Audrey worked alongside her husband Wayne in their plumbing business. They enjoyed their Sunday drives, travelling together in their RV and most of all, her family.  The family wish to thank the Palliative Care staff at Ross Memorial Hospital for their care and compassion shown to Audrey during her stay with them.

Visitation & Private Funeral Service

Friends are invited to call at FAITH TABERNACLE 6 Albert Street Coboconk, Ontario on Thursday afternoon, August 5, 2021 from 2 - 5 p.m. A Private Funeral Service will be held. Interment Bexley Cemetery.  As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Faith Tabernacle Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
