Alitha Major

On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, Alitha Ellen Marie Major passed away very peacefully at her home in Tory Hill, Ontario. Beloved wife of Arthur Major (Predeceased), loving Mother of Brady (Mona), Arthur (Susan), Steven (Sophie), Denise Foster (Orval), Jack (Marilyn) Kathy Major-Pacheco (Tony - Predeceased), Elaine Parberry (Dan) and Ruth Major-Edeljor (Aaron). Alitha will be lovingly remembered by her 27 grandchildren and her 36 great-grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by her 2 great-grandchildren on the way.

Alitha was a loving, giving caring and compassionate person. Alitha loved the trees, especially the white birch trees. She enjoyed Baking, Reading, going for walks, long car rides, and dancing around the house.

From death to life. The Lord thy God received her for Eternal Life in Heaven.

Visitation & Funeral Service

Friends are invited to call at the HALIBURTON COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 13523 Hwy. #118, Haliburton, Ontario (705) 457-9209 on Saturday afternoon, June 3, 2023, for a funeral service at 2 o’clock in the Chapel. (Visitation one hour prior). As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
