Peacefully at Caressant Care in Lindsay on Monday afternoon, March 1, 2010 in her 101st year surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Harold Chynoweth (1974). Cherished daughter of the late Samuel J. Bryant and Isabella Soutar. Loving mother of Phyllis McHale of Norland, Barbara Chynoweth of Toronto, Della Chynoweth of Norland, Sandra Roberts and her husband Miles of Haliburton. Fondly remembered by her daughter-in-law Esther Chynoweth of Keene. Dear sister of Peggy Saunders 'Babe' of Lindsay. Predeceased by her sons Jack, Frank, her daughter Helen, her sisters Marjorie Fountain, Ivy Boyce, Christina Kerr and by her brother Neil Bryant. Also lovingly remembered by her 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and by her 17 great great grandchildren. Hilda was born Norland on February 13,1910 and lived her entire life in the Norland area. She was well known throughout the years for her participation in many of the organizations in the Norland area. She and her husband Harold operated the R. R. #1 mail route out of Norland for 28 years. She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Friends are invited to call at the COBOCONK COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 6644 Hwy. #35, Coboconk, Ontario (705)454-3913 on Wednesday afternoon, March 3, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday afternoon, March 4, 2010 at 2 o'clock. Interment later Pinegrove Cemetery, Norland. As expressions of sympathy donations to Norland United Church or Norland Community Centre Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
