At Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay on Tuesday morning, February 27, 2007 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of May Mitchell (nee Vaughan). Loving father of Mary (Mrs. Tore Johanson) of Prince Rupert, B.C. and Betty (Mrs. Ken Penley) of Omemee. Stepfather of Tom Newlands of Peterborough. Fondly remembered by his eight grandchildren and his great grandchildren. Dear brother of Betty and Rhoda. Predeceased by his sisters Adelaide, Dorothy and his brother Frank. Also lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the COBOCONK COMMUNITY FUNERAL HOME 6644 Hwy. #35 Coboconk, Ontario (705)454-3913 on Friday afternoon, March 2, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday morning, March 3, 2007 from 10 o’clock until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 o'clock. Interment later Greenbank Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to Knox United Church, Coboconk, Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund, or the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family. A Legion Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Friday evening, March 2, 2007 at 8 p.m.
